Banking Operations Manager
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Banking Operations Manager to oversee and manage our banking platforms and payment processes across our Channel Islands (CI) and UK teams within our Governance Services business.
This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless access, accurate account management, and up-to- date signatory records across all banking relationships.
The initial focus will be on selecting and implementing a new payments system to enhance operational e iciency and user experience.
About the role
Responsible for the banking platforms and their management across CI & UK.
Implement a suitable payments systems and take responsibility for ongoing development, improvements and integration with other systems. Coordinate with vendors, IT, and business units to ensure successful implementation and future maintenance.
Administer banking platforms for internal users and external clients and ensure appropriate access rights are granted and maintained for all users.
Implement and monitor controls to mitigate operational and fraud risks.
Identify process improvements and drive automation initiatives to enhance e iciency and reduce risk.
Liaise with stakeholders to validate and approve signatory changes.
Develop training and onboarding materials for banking and payments users.
Act as the primary point of contact for banking-related queries and provide subject ma er expertise on banking and payment solutions for internal projects and clients.
About you
The candidate should be able to be able to demonstrate a passion for technology related solutions ideally with good knowledge of the Microsoft toolkit and of specialist banking software.
Demonstrate a flexible and pro-active approach to problem solving, both in an individual capacity and as part of a team, with an ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
Must be able to demonstrate initiative, be proactive, have a positive outlook and be well- organised with good personal management skills and a proven record of taking ownership of tasks and responsibility for ensuring completion.
Good verbal and wri en communication skills are essential, together with the ability to build relationships, working as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
This role requires:
Proven experience in banking operations or financial systems management.
Strong understanding of banking platforms and payment systems.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and fiduciary duties.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Experience with database systems and access management tools is a plus.
