Operations Manager This role is responsible for the firms operations in the Channel Islands, ensuring the delivery of first class Front of House service & Client Experience, day to day operations and operational business continuity, including; procurement, supplier and contract management, building maintenance, facilities, health, safety, and security and space management.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage, organise and maintain the firms facilities to ensure that a safe and efficient environment is maintained for all staff;
• Ensuring an exceptional client service for all those who visit, telephone or email the firm;
• Manage all of the firms facilities suppliers and contracts at the best quality and value for money;
• Develop and maintain a practical Business Continuity Plan
• Ensure that the Company complies with Health & Safety requirements
• Liaise with the Landlords' agents to ensure mutual compliance with the current tenancy agreements;
• Prepare and agree the Facilities expenditure budget;
• Direct and plan essential support services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling;
• Manage the stock control and check the inventory records are accurate;
• Plan best allocation and utilisation of space and resources for existing buildings and any new buildings, and coordinate any office moves to cause minimum disruption to the business;
• Manage the growth and success of the team;
• Plan, schedule and review workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost effective basis;
• Project manage, supervise and coordinate work of contractors as required checking that agreed work by contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies;
• Manage, develop, coach and motivate the Reception team to achieve business objectives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
• Service oriented, good people skills;
• Good understanding of contracts and procurement;
• Ability to manage suppliers and internal stakeholders;
• Proactive, can do attitude;
• Dynamic and hard working;
• Good understanding of property, premises and facilities;
• Level 3 IWFM or equivalent;
• IOSH Qualification;
• Understanding of building health & safety.
Desirable:
• Ability to work well with government agencies, landlords and external technical suppliers;
• NEBOSH Qualification;
• Experience of working in a professional services firm.
