Position Funds Officer / Senior Funds Officer
Purpose of Role
The role holder will take direct administrative responsibility for a portfolio of
Funds and ancillary vehicles ensuring that first class service is provided and
support to the Funds Directors and senior staff. Tasks will encompass all core
aspects of fund administration duties and will be very varied. The tasks will
include, but are not limited to, client and investor due diligence (CDD), transfer
agency, bookkeeping, accounting and NAV production, capital call calculations
processing and monitoring, payment processing, minute preparation, regulatory
reporting and being the main day-to-day focal point of contact with
clients/investors. The role holder will work under the direct supervision of the
Funds Manager.
Key Accountabilities
This will be a key role within our growing fund operations team. This role is new
and is fuelled by the continued growth of the business.
The role holder will ensure that high quality work is produced, and timely
service is delivered to the Directors of the Company and its clients thereby
ensuring all aspects of service are completed with a high level of
professionalism and to all regulatory and governance standards.
The role holder will develop key relationships with the business and client base
to ensure all expectations are managed and achieved to the highest standard.
They will ensure all statutory records and company registers are maintained in
good order as well as ensuring any relevant filings are made within appropriate
deadlines.
The role holder will help to ensure that ZEDRA is compliant with local
regulatory requirements supporting a positive relationship with the local
regulator through strong governance.
Main Duties include
Duties are varied and include the following:
• Client Due Diligence
• Investor CDD (initial and periodic reviews)
• Processing or overseeing the investor dealing process (transfer agency work)
or LP commitments
• Bookkeeping and maintaining up to date trial balances for all assigned funds
• NAV production and checking
• Managing the capital call process on closed-ended funds
• Payment processing
• Preparing, recording, and filing board minutes
• Ensuring reporting deadlines are met in a professional and timely manner
• Implementation & Maintenance of Static Data on funds core system, PFS
Paxus
• Maintain periodic checklists relating to JFSC and Registry with regard to client
activity
• Regulatory reporting to various agencies
Client
The role holder will ensure that they deliver high quality service to all clients to
ensure longevity of relationships. They will interact directly with their clients
and support the Funds Directors in identifying client needs and delivering upon
opportunities to drive up levels of client service including supporting the
Assistant Funds Manager, Funds Manager and the Funds Directors. The role
holder will ensure they deliver on client commitments to agreed deadlines and
to a high standard.
Risk
Funds Officers will take action to ensure agreed business risk targets are met.
The successful candidate will use technical capability to understand and
manage risk within their client book with the support of their line management
and Funds Directors, escalating where necessary and required in accordance
with policies.
Knowledge and Experience
Professional and Technical Experience
The successful applicant will have proven experience within the funds
administration field and will demonstrate good client service delivering against
the needs and demands of fund clients. They will demonstrate an
understanding of the technical principles of day to day fund administration. The
candidate is expected to have an awareness of current issues affecting fund
structures and the clients for whom we act.

Language Skills
The successful candidate will be fluent in English and an understanding of other
languages is desirable.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Educated to A-Level standards
Full or part qualified CA/ACCA/CIMA/ICSA
Relevant experience is equally as important as professional qualifications and all
applicants will be looked at weighing both experience and professional
qualifications.
Once qualified you will also be expected to maintain the relevant Continued
Professional Development (CPD) hours in line with your relevant qualification.
