About us
We supervise the island's financial services industry for compliance with both conduct and prudential requirements, and under the anti-money laundering (AML), countering financing of terrorism (CFT), and countering proliferation financing (CPF) framework. The JFSC is one of the few regulators globally to benefit from the Regulator and the entity Registrar operating under a single financial services commission.
Division: Technology and Data
The division supports the commission in operating as a highly effective regulator by providing the necessary data, information, collaboration tools and infrastructure technologies that support high levels of productivity, industry engagement and operational efficiency. Our activities underpin the commission’s strategic goal of harnessing technology and influencing the digitalisation of financial services in Jersey.
Team: Systems and Data
The Systems and Data team is responsible for targeting and exploiting synergies between the JFSC’s data, systems, regulated entities, and Registry customers to empower Jersey’s financial industry. By providing our staff and customers with business-enabling data and systems that are easy to access, compliance will be easier for industry to achieve, and effectiveness will be easier for the JFSC to demonstrate - enhancing business integrity and supporting the JFSC in fulfilling its primary purpose.
Role: BAS Officer – Systems & Data (Permanent)
This role provides technical support for our business applications, ensuring their availability, reliability, and performance meet the standard required. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues, managing system configurations, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimise application usage. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring seamless operations and deliver the following outcomes:
› Effective management of the configurations of the JFSC platform and collaborating with IT service providers to diagnose and resolve problems to minimize disruptions.
› Provide tiered technical support for business applications, including diagnosing and resolving user- reported issues promptly and effectively.
› Effective collaboration with developers (internal and external) and providing support to staff that resulting in technical compatibility across systems, quick resolutions of issues, and adequate the development, enhancement, and testing of JFSC business applications.

Are you suitable for this role?
The role will suit any individual with a proven track record of first level technical support within one or more disciplines in the technology sector, preferably within systems support, application development and/or data management and analytics. If you are customer focused, enjoy solving puzzles and have abroad knowledge across a wide range of ICT systems, this may suit you. An understanding of ITIL Foundation level and Service Transition, change management processes and experience in Microsoft Cloud Platform systems would be beneficial.
