The Systems team support the design, development and implementation of all People and Corporate Services Systems that support the transformation in delivery of public services.
The team will enable the government to work more efficiently and be more effective along with providing standardised and streamlined internal service delivery and full implementation of Manager and Employee Self-Service.
The Adviser role is open to anyone who enjoys working with systems, can identify a more efficient way of doing something, has a positive can-do attitude, an inquisitive mind, and a determination to find solutions to problems, has attention to detail and wishes to start their career in People & Corporate Services by gaining a good understanding of HR Systems.
Investigate and resolve system related problems on behalf of the user
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors and resolve any faults or escalate internally/with the supplier
Create and run basic reports
Undertake basic system configuration (design, build and test)
Support the business in how to use the system by delivering face-to-face training, creating user-guides, query resolution.
Can identify a better way of doing something and see that idea through to completion
Ability to develop close working relationships with internal and external contacts
Prepare and run test scripts for system upgrades ensuring results are accurately recorded
