Job Description

Within this role, you will act as a role model to support a strong risk and compliance culture and support the implementation of a culture which supports the values and ensure engagement of all staff to support the delivery of excellent client service, operational effectiveness and efficiencies.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Act as CO/ MLRO/ MLCO for client entities as required
  • Act as the principle point of contact for risk and compliance in respect of client entities
  • Act as the principle point of contact for the JFSC on client fund entities
  • Assess, and recommend amendments to, internal systems and controls as well as policies, and procedures to facilitate compliance with the regulatory framework
  • Devise and deliver appropriate written reporting to client boards, taking into account relevant data points and legal and regulatory obligations
  • Undertake reporting to regulators as required
  • Provide advice to the business on their proposals for remediation of items and activities and track these to completion
  • Act as the principal point of contact for regulatory authorities and the Joint Financial Crimes Unit (JFCU)

The successful candidate will have the below requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of offshore financial services and underlying product and service rationales, technologies and regulatory environments
  • Membership of relevant Financial Institute
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Awareness and understanding of cross jurisdictional cultural differences
  • Corporate Governance experience and an understanding and experience of risk mitigation
  • Excellent management skills
