Job Description

Our Client is looking for a Locum Medical Secretary to join their team on a 3 month fixed term contract working 25 hours per week.

The purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive administration support function and acting as the first point of contact for internal and external queries.

Some of your responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Updating and uploading within the relevant areas of the electronic patient recording system 
  • Photocopying and reproducing information as required 
  • Appropriately storing and disposing of confidential information/documentation
  • Sorting and prioritising of all incoming mail 
  • Typing letters, discharges, and any other patient related documentation
  • Retrieving, logging and returning case notes/ medical records
  • Attending team meetings and taking minutes 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to demonstrate excellent standard of literacy and numeracy skills, ideally will have an administrative qualification i.e. Medical Secretary, RSAII or equivalent, previous experience working in a health care related environment with knowledge of medical terminology.
