Job Description
The Country Head role is responsible for local profitability and ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing client satisfaction, loyalty, and retention, as well as driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The Country Head's objectives include being a local brand ambassador, assessing local teams, building trust with peers across Europe and globally, working with finance to drive local profitability, gross margin, and cash collection targets, and owning non-ERM assigned Jersey and UK clients.
The role may involve defining business activities, such as leadership and people responsibilities, financial management, operational support, client relationship management, risk and fiduciary responsibilities, and promoting the local brand. Leadership responsibilities include driving change, developing and leading a local management team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, and contributing to the overall strategy, structure, and success of the European Leadership Team and the group.
Technical expertise includes managing country P&L, providing regular financial updates and reports, and driving best-in-class cash management performance throughout the Jersey businesses. Operational responsibilities include monitoring the performance and actions of the Jersey and UK service teams, supporting the local management of central services teams, and overseeing the development and implementation of client service protocols.
Client responsibilities include establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, analyzing client feedback, RAG status, and service metrics, coordinating with the EU CCO, Sector Leads, Global Transformation Lead, and shared service functions, and promoting and developing the local brand through external communications, campaigns, events, and CSR initiatives.
Risk and fiduciary responsibilities include appointment to the affiliation lead board in Jersey, membership in board committees, succession planning, implementing and enforcing robust internal controls and risk management practices, upholding strong corporate governance standards and ethical practices, working closely with the Risk and Compliance teams, leading/overseeing execution of local regulatory or statutory projects, and overseeing local contracts.
