JOB PURPOSE As part of the Country Brand and Marketing team, grow and contribute to the bank/ BU reputation, brand, and image, through Public Relations activities. By building media/PR relationships and leveraging PR/media knowledge and experience, drive positive and proactive media/ brand and reputation outcomes for the bank / BU. Develop and implement all internal communication plans in line with BU strategy and overall employee value proposition.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions
Develop compelling Public Relations (PR) and communication plans to drive positive media coverage, and in so doing build the BU brand and reputation in country. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop PR opportunities that will build brand and reputation in country, aligning communication and PR plans with business roadmaps to ensure relevance. Craft press releases that convey the appropriate strategic messaging, and prepare media kits that enable information to be effectively distributed to the media in country. Take ownership of responses to media inquiries and requests in a timely and accurate manner, so that overall reputation is protected and no opportunities for ‘fake news’ are created. Ensure adherence to all policy and procedure which informs and governs Public Relations and relations with outside stakeholders in general. In the event of a crisis or issue which requires reputation management, understand, and assimilate the key messages to be conveyed and develop communication plans which deliver the correct information, through the most suited channels, to all intended audiences. Organise and manage PR related events, such as product launches and media launches, which generate coverage and interest, contributing to the overall PR and brand strategy in country. Drive positive employee engagement through the delivery of relevant and impactful internal communication, enabling the execution of effective business strategies and results by partnering with business units to plan, scope and deliver impactful internal communication solutions in country. Drive the creation and delivery of proactive, fit-for-purpose and inspiring content tailored for diverse internal channels, in collaboration with business partners, ensuring the messaging remains consistent, transparent, and aligned with the country's strategic objectives. Partner with contracted agencies to support the development and execution of PR activities in country. Collect data and measure the effectiveness of all PR and communication initiatives in country to inform ROI and future spend.

Experience of Public Relations in the financial services industry, with proven experience of developing and executing PR campaigns, in dealing with diverse media stakeholders / outlets and in interacting with the media and working with a broad range of stakeholders in the PR environment is advantageous, including government agencies and investors.

1-2 years Experience in communication campaign planning, development, and implementation essential, working in a project environment, prioritising tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment and cross-functionally with teams to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
