An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join a dynamic and growing team as a Trainee Accountant. As part of this role, you will provide bookkeeping and financial reporting support to a portfolio of non-complex clients, including companies, trusts, partnerships, SPVs, and real estate entities. You will be trained in all areas of accounting, setting you up for a rewarding career in client accounting. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with bookkeeping and routine accounting tasks for clients.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements in line with UK GAAP or IFRS standards.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Organise and file financial documents, and assist with audits.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Participate in client meetings and support the preparation of tax filings and other financial reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics (Grade C/Level 4 minimum).
  • Willingness to study towards a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA).
  • Basic understanding of office software (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software.
  • Some experience in administrative tasks and data entry is desirable.
