Our client is looking for a driven compliance professional to take a leadership role in shaping the compliance function of a leading financial services organisation. You will work closely with the Head of Compliance, lead a talented team, and play a pivotal part in succession planning for the Head of Compliance role.

As Associate Director – Compliance, you will ensure that the compliance framework meets regulatory requirements, act as MLCO/MLRO where required, and provide strategic guidance across the business. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance monitoring for FSB, CIF, AIF, and JPF entities. Track and manage compliance findings through issue trackers and ensure timely resolution. Produce and present compliance reports for clients, boards, and the Monthly Management Forum. Act as Key Person for Schedule 2 clients (MLCO/MLRO/AMLSP) where required. Ensure robust compliance policies, procedures, and controls aligned with legal and regulatory frameworks.

AML/CFT/CPF Expertise:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AML/CFT/CPF regulations and provide expert CDD advice.
• Oversee investor CDD, client risk assessments, and MLCO annual reporting.
• Support preparation of business risk assessments and risk mitigation programs.
• Manage, mentor, and coach compliance team members.
• Oversee recruitment, performance reviews, and staff development plans.

Ideally, a Table 4 compliance professional qualification or equivalent.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in financial services compliance (trust & fund services preferred).
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, AML/CFT/CPF legislation, and compliance best practices.
• Demonstrable experience in managing compliance teams and mentoring junior staff.
