Our client is seeking someone to join their experienced leadership team within Supervision. You will bring further balance to their senior team with a good depth of commercial and operational experience in the banking sector. You should also have a good understanding of investment businesses.

You will have experience of successfully managing change within large teams and demonstrate the capacity to build relationships at all levels within the company. You must be comfortable adapting to changing priorities remain flexible in the face of ambiguity as the company demands evolve.

The Director of Supervision is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and evolving Jersey’s supervisory approach in line with a new strategic framework. The role focuses on engaging constructively with regulated firms and key stakeholders to ensure effective, risk-based supervision that supports business growth while safeguarding Jersey’s reputation as a leading international financial centre.

The Director leads a supervision unit through a period of significant transformation, driving a more agile, data-led and proportionate supervisory model. This includes strengthening risk assessment across prudential, conduct and financial crime risks, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and embedding innovation through AI to improve supervisory effectiveness and reduce industry compliance costs.

The role requires strong internal and external leadership, including close collaboration with government, industry bodies, international regulators and senior firm management. Directors are accountable for delivering timely, high-quality regulatory decisions for Jersey’s most significant firms, maintaining readiness for international assessments, and actively contributing to the wider organisational leadership agenda.
