Job description
Purpose
To support the function of R&H Jersey’s Investment Manager Review team, which is responsible for the ongoing monitoring of investments held by R&H client structures and the investment management service providers engaged by them.
Summary of Responsibilities
Ongoing performance monitoring of investment portfolios owned by R&H structures, to include (where appropriate):
• Input & review of portfolio valuation and asset allocation data;
• Input & review of data related to portfolio mandates / risk profiles / restrictions etc.;
• Qualitative commentary on portfolio performance;
• Discussions with trustees and clients in respect of investment manager performance.
• Ongoing due diligence on current & prospective investment management providers, to include (where appropriate):
• Meetings with representatives from investment management firms;
• Review of due diligence information provided by investment managers;
• Accurate recording of due diligence undertaken.
• Preparation of reporting to R&H senior management, trustees, and clients, and for internal investment oversight meetings;
• Responding to ad hoc investment-related queries from trustees and clients;

• Continuous improvement of team processes, including development and enhancement of reporting and team marketing material;
• Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Minimum education level requirements:
• GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C in five separate subjects including Mathematics and English;
• A2 levels (or equivalent);
• Preferred education level:
• A2 levels (or equivalent) including numerical and qualitative (e.g. English) subjects;
• Undergraduate degree, preferably in a finance-related or numerical subject.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills;
• Strong writing skills;
• A high level of attention to detail;
• Willingness to study for investment qualifications (e.g. IMC, PCIAM, CFA etc.);
• General interest in investment markets;
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and applications, particularly Excel;
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels;
• Ability to manage own workload and prioritise appropriately;
• Flexible, with the ability to work to time pressures, react calmly to changing demands, and complete work in an accurate and timely manner.
Training
• Full on-the-job training will be provided, with continued support and guidance;
• Where considered appropriate, external courses will be offered to support training;
• Subject to successful completion of probation and suitability, full support will be provided for further investment-related qualifications (where appropriate), including course attendance and examination time.
