Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist with strong Swift experience and a background in banking payments. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for either a long-term contract or the possibility of a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to quickly diagnose and resolve issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within production applications (e.g., server connectivity, upgrades)
- Provide clear and timely updates to customers, ensuring issues are resolved
- Guide customers through troubleshooting steps
- Follow up with customers to ensure problems are fully resolved
- Support application testing and upgrades
- Create and maintain procedural documentation
- Manage multiple support cases simultaneously
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in an application support role, ideally within the banking/financial services industry
- Extensive experience supporting Payments/Swift gateway solutions (a must-have)
- Familiarity with Microsoft, Linux, and SQL databases
- Experience with IBM MQ is essential
- Knowledge of Bottomline GTExchange is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Certifications in Microsoft or Linux are an advantage
